Q: After I install the game, the game changes the monitor resolution. Likewise, after playing the
game, I have to manually change the resolution back to my original settings. I have installed the update
of the program, but this problem still exists.
A: If you have updated the program and still have resolution problems, then you may need to update
your video driver and Microsoft’s DirectX. Make you sure you’ve visited your computer manufacturer’s
website and updated your video or display drivers. Also visit http://www.microsoft.com/directx to update

Q: Is it possible to minimize the screen while still playing the game. It’s frustrating to have to leave
the game in the middle when I need to check e-mails.
A: No, the game itself cannot be ‘minimized’ in the typical Windows way. However, you can press Ctrl-
Esc on your keyboard to show your Task Bar and then you can click another program to bring it to the
front. Keep in mind, however that because the game is still running, DirectX is still controlling your
graphics and everything will look large until you click back to the game and exit from it.
Q: When I open the game, it fills the entire screen and seems to be shifted to the left. I cannot see
all the game buttons like “OK” … how come?
A: You may have Large Fonts enabled, this could be causing the shift. XP has two locations that
determines font size. The first location is under Display Properties / Appearance, you have the option of
Normal, Large & Extra Large fonts. The second place is under Display Properties / Settings / Advanced.
You will see a DPI setting option. Make sure it is set to Normal (96DPI) and not to Large (120DPI).
Q: In the Hearts game, it doesn’t lead with the 2 of Clubs and it should. Also it passes 3 cards to the
right every time and there is no “no pass” round. This game seems to cheat. Why?
A: The situations you are describing are not designed to cheat you in the game, but they are options
which you can control. If you open the SETTINGS are of the game, you can make these changes and
customize the game to your liking, as each person becomes accustomed to playing a certain way. The
“Lead with 2 Clubs” is an option that you can enable if you wish, as well as the “Passing” issue. You can
set to pass right / left, alternate (right / left / right / left) or not at all.
